There’s no topping The Maryland Renaissance Festival! You should swing east and go this fall. I love to get a henna tattoo when I go. Weekends through Oct 20th.
I was there Sunday! And I took almost that exact same photo of the catpestry! I bought a concrete owl for my mom (shoutout Gothic Gardens for holding it for me for 7+ hours!) and a candle for me that when it is finally spent will reveal a new set of math rocks for my collection (and my D&D campaign(s))!
A friend sang at the Tuxedo NY which which perhaps just ended. I enjoyed it decades ago, apparently it’s gotten expensive. Tuxedo is near Kingston from what I recall. We are taking the kid to the one in Carver Mass in September. Friends also suggest the Watch City Steampunk Festival in Waltham MA, in May, and free!
I was going to go to the NY Renaissance Faire last weekend in either Trek or Battlestar Galactica costume, but didn't want to get lost on public transportation. Maybe next year, I'll just rent a car.

Been to this one a few times and enjoyed it. Now it's $48 for one adult ticket.
