Before I get to the extremely true, not-at-all hallucinated tale of my time with A-list swingers: did you know the rural mountain village of Chicago, Illinois has its very own genre of live performance art? It is called “live lit,” as in “live literature.” I got to do just such a show this week!
I had a fantastic time at Write Club, which is curated by American superstar Corrbette Pasko. My college pal Josh Zagoren (aka Chad the Bird) also works on it.
As I explained to the fine folks on my Patreon (where I put my weirdest stuff, tbh), “About a week before the actual show, each participant is assigned a topic. I was given the topic CLEAN, and my noble opponent Lexy Weixel (their Instagram is here) was given the topic DIRTY. From there, it is up to the individuals to compose a 7-minute written piece to be performed live in front of an often raucous crowd.”
What I wrote about CLEAN was truly beautiful and poetic and also full of swears and extremely filthy, I assure you. Here is a free link so you can read it! It is VERY EROTIC and about VERY FAMOUS PEOPLE! Share it with your friends! Send it to Grandma!
