October is the Most Interesting Month

Right?

Just casually and normally hanging around my house recently.

I find myself unsure of what to write to you, but sure in this moment that to write something brief and honest is better than to write nothing at all.

This is not true in every moment.

Newsletters, articles, essays, books, and scripts are, after all, an author’s letters to the world. If I wish only to write to myself, I can do that in a journal or on the back of a Walgreens receipt.

But today, I want to write to you.

First, it’s because you are now at the exclusive home of SARATONIN. I still have a Patreon and invite you to join it, but I’m doing other writing and art there. It’s a bit more conversational, experimental, and weird.

Sometimes the world feels upside down, but really, it’s the same as it ever was.

It is good to be alive in October, the most interesting month.
