Hi. I co-host a monthly show with a talking bird named Chad. Wednesday night at 8 p.m., that show is happening again at The Lincoln Lodge right here in Chicago. Tickets are $10 - grab ‘em online or at the door. It’s always pleasantly bananas and the bar is a delight. And this month, our theme is OBSESSION.
We got to guest on the midday show at Chicago’s legendary WGN Studios to talk about it, and it was pretty damn fun.
Also, I am moving. Things inside the abode are being painted and fixed. Things that rattle will hopefully stop doing that. Things that are broken will hopefully become unbroken.
I’m project managing two photoshoots in two different states in the same month, which requires a great deal of advance planning and talking to lots of people and getting the right objects to the right people and so on and so forth.
I enrolled in a Substack workshop to try to learn how to do a better job over here, giving the people what they want! And hopefully having fun while doing it. Let me know if there is something you’d like to see more of here. I’m in the process of figuring it out myself.
I am also writing a book. And trying to be a human with relationships. My back hurts. I started going to a new chiropractor. Physical therapy continues apace. It’s helping.
I’ve got a meeting with my breathwork teacher. And I’m going to look into Transcendental Meditation. It’s helped a lot of people I know. I’ve been so anxious and overwhelmed that I think I need to add a new tool to the ol’ toolkit.
There are other things, of course, but there always are, in my life and in yours. I hope you are safe and at peace tonight.
Springtime is really beautiful in Chicago.
This season of my life is very busy. I am very fortunate, and over-scheduled, and tired. I am very lucky.
I hope you’re doing well. It seems obvious to state that these are not easy days - entirely apart from the things I listed above, which are all ultimately doable and manageable.
People do different things to get their ya-yas out, and as for me, I do the aforementioned monthly live comedy show with a bird puppet named Chad (aka my longtime friend Josh Zagoren.) It’s silly and ridiculous and we hope it brings some stupid joy into the audience’s lives for an hour or so. If you’re around, we’d love to see you there.
Love,
Sara

I am taking a class on Ancestral Healing right now, so if you’d like to be a beta client, I’ll be starting in June! Good luck with alllll of that coordination. You’re juggling and balancing a whole freaking lot right now. Remember to be kind to yourself. 💖
Once the book is out please come to Winston Salem and do a book signing!
